Common maintenance and configuration tasks can be automated using the Central Server administrator API.
Other planned changes to the Central Server functionality:
Support declining or approving management requests without having to create a complementary request on the Central Server.
Comment: Having only a single management requests view with filtering capabilities seems like a good solution. In that way there's no need to have separate management request views under Member and Security Server details.
Use secure connection (HTTPS) for distributing global configuration.
Comment: Both HTTP and HTTPS endpoints must be available on the new Central Server for backwards compatibility.
Use more secure certificate hashing algorithm instead of SHA-1, e.g., SHA-256.
Add/remove Central Server cluster nodes without sending a new configuration anchor.
Rotate Central Server sign keys without sending a new configuration anchor.
Support running management services and the Central Server on separate hosts.
Support for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
Remove support for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
