Summary

  • Fix an issue where OCSP responses were not refreshed after certificate rotation due to caching delays.

  • Improve handling of restPath in operational monitoring to reduce the risk of leaking path variables.

  • Add a new xRoadVersion field to operational monitoring data.

Fix

Fix an issue that caused connections to other Security Servers to fail after rotating an authentication certificate on the Security Server. The issue was caused by other Security Servers not picking up the new OCSP responses until the next refresh period due to caching.

XRDDEV-2840

Improvement

Improve the restPath implementation field collecting implementation on the Security Server operational monitoring to avoid logging restPath in the following instances:

  • When the path used can not be tied to an endpoint definition in the OpenAPI description when the service uses OpenAPI

  • When the path used can not be tied to an endpoint definition in the Security Server for regular REST services

  • When the role of the Security Server in the exchange is as a consumer

These improvements were made to further reduce the chances of path variables being accidentally leaked via the operational monitoring metrics.

Additionally a field (xRoadVersion) describing the X-Road version of the Security Server was added to operational monitoring data.

XRDDEV-2848

Improvement

Bumped the maximum memory allocation for the operational monitoring module on the Security Server from 256mb to 350mb.
